SENI 2010 - London Excel Arena…
The return of SENI is approaching fast!
This years event wil be held over 2 days (May 29th & 30th) at Excel Arena and will once again play host to the ‘Gracie Invitational’.
Carlsons are aiming to take a substantial team to the ‘Gracie Invitational’, one of the largest grappling events in the country, and we’d like all club members to show their support in both competition and attendance.

New CGHQ Gym & Rodrigo Seminar…
The Carlson Gracie London team have been working hard on their new gym and will be holding the opening in conjuncion with a seminar by BJJ REvolution Team head and multiple world champion: Rodrigo Medeiros.
We offer the 302 team our best wishes as they continue to make Carlson Gracie one of the best teams in the country.

Steve Haydock Seminar Date Confirmed…
We are pleased to confirm a seminar with Carlson Gracie Black Belt Steve Haydock.
Steve taught an excellent class at our summer camp this year and we are happy to have him back.
The seminar will be at the Ipswich club: Police Headquarters, Martlesham Heath. It will take place on Tuesday 29th September, 7-9pm and will cost £20.
BlueWave Summer Course 2009…
The ‘BlueWave Summer Course 2009′ is nearly here!
The 4th annual summer course will be held at Mendlesham Primary School on the weekend of 25th/26th July.
This is a good chance to train with Instructors from many different disciplines and develop your skills as well as meet new people from all the BlueWave affiliate clubs. You will be able to try: advanced kicking, pad work, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Submission Grappling, weapons training (sticks and nunchuku), self defence, kata, sweeps, takedowns and much more.
Here are some of the outstanding instructors already lined up for 2009:
The format for the weekend is as follows:
Friday night BEFORE 9.00 pm /Saturday BEFORE 8.30 am Arrival and pitch tents.
Saturday 10.00 am Line up and warm up
10.30 -12.30 Mixed training.
12.30- 2.00pm Lunch
2.00pm – 4.00pm Mixed training
5.30pm Barbeque and Disco
Sunday 8.00am Breakfast
9.00 am Tai chi
10.00 am Line up and warm up
10.30-12.30 Mixed training
12.30-2.00 pm Lunch
2.00pm – 4.00 pm Mixed training
4.15 pm Line up
4.30pm Course end
Instructors are CRB checked and 1st Aid Qualified. There will be security (1st aid and CRB checked) at night. The school kitchen and Barbeque will be run by the qualified school chef and the emphasis will be on healthy eating.
The cost of the course is £60.00 per student and £35.00 for every additional student of the same family. Therefore three children in a family would pay a total of £100.00. A brother and sister £95.00. This includes Training, Grading, Meals, Disco and Barbeque. Parents accompanying children pay £15.00 each. Places on the course are limited to 120 people only so book now to reserve your place.
We must know in advance if you wish to come in order to organise the catering so all places must be reserved by July 21st.

The absence of the annual prestigious Gracie Invitational due to SENI being cancelled has given the grappling community the opportunity to bring the tournament back to the Midlands. Competitors from all over Europe and the best talent from the UK are expected.

Rodrigo Medeiros Seminar…
We are very pleased to announce the return of Rodrigo Medeiros to BlueWave!
Rodrigo will be teaching a seminar on Sunday 28th June, 3-6pm.
The seminar will cost £30. Venue: Abbeycroft Leisure Center, Bury St Edmunds.
Rodrigo is one of the best BJJ fighters to have competed in the sport and it is an honor to have him back at our academy. This is a seminar not to be missed!
