BlueWave Carslon Gracie sweeps ‘Dynamite 2′ Interclub…
The team attended a fun & relaxed no-gi interclub hosted by ‘Dynamo Muay Thai & Vale Tudo’ in Felixstowe.
The setup was: 5 minute fights, no points, just cumulative subs.
More subs after 5 mins = 3 points, draw = 1 point. Fight everyone in weight division.
BlueWave Carlson Gracie swept the competition and won all 4 divs (out of a total 5) we entered:

Lee Doski Makes it 3-in-a-row at UCMMA!…
BlueWave Senior Instructor Lee Doski once again entertained the crowd at Londons Ultimate Challenge MMA with a second round TKO victory over previously undefeated Kenny Morrison.
The first round was back and forth with much of the fight spent in the clinch before Lee landed a leg reap to secure the mount position. After a scramble Lee found himself holding guard and as the seconds ran out straighted a tight arm bar attempt which nealry won him the match.
Lee then came out in the second and quickly landed a series of hard jabs before securing a high amplitude double leg takedown. Following some vicious knee and elbow strikes from side control, Lee hopped up to knee-on-belly and landed a barrage of unanswered strikes forcing the referee to halt the bout early in the 2nd.
This now makes it 3 wins in a row at UCMMA for Lee! The fights were broadcas on Sky Sports 3.

BlueWave provides ALL cage side officials to ECFF/Tsunami MMA show…
On Saturday the 1st May 2010, several members of the BlueWave team travelled to Cambridge to provide support to the ECFF/Tsunami MMA event.
Lee Doski took to the cage as the MC for the event, whilst Josh Palmer acted as Head Judge with Windy Miller, Jack Lister and Jon Cross in attendance as cage side judges.
A thoroughly enjoyabble evening was had by all and we wish the ECFF and Tsunami promotors all the best in the future.

New CGHQ Gym & Rodrigo Seminar…
The Carlson Gracie London team have been working hard on their new gym and will be holding the opening in conjuncion with a seminar by BJJ REvolution Team head and multiple world champion: Rodrigo Medeiros.
We offer the 302 team our best wishes as they continue to make Carlson Gracie one of the best teams in the country.

Black Belt Demetrius Ramos to Join BlueWave…
We are pleased to announce that Carlson Gracie Black Belt Demetrius Ramos will be joining us from his academy in Tuscon.
Demetrius tought a seminar for us back in 2008 and has also trained 2 of our team when they travelled out to Arizona for 6 weeks, so when we heard that Demetrius would be moving to the UK, we were pleased to confirm him as a new instructor at our Ipswich BJJ club.
Among many tournament wins, Demetrius won the 2006 American National Jiu Jitsu Championships (Absolute Division). View the video here.

NEW Training Times…
Some changes are happening at BlueWave and we’re shaking things up in order to continue offering the best training to our teams.
PLEASE NOTE:
- The Kids Hybrid Martial Arts Class at Mendlesham will no longer be taking place.
- Tuesday night MMA classes at Ipswich/Martlesham Heath Police HQ are now Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes and will have regular attendance form a BJJ Black Belt.
- Another weeknight of MMA has been added in Bury St Edmunds: Monday nights 7:30-9:30pm.
Chad wins belt at ECFF…
BlueWave member and BJJ Blue Belt Chad Malley made his MMA debut last last Saturday at East Coast Fight Factory.
Due to pullouts in the main event, Chad headlined the show (under pro class B rules) and put in a flawless performance.
Securing a takedown within 10 seconds of the start of round one, Chad dominated the top position for the whole round landing a succession of short punches and submission attempts.
The second round was no different with Chad getting a very quick takedown and again controlling from the top for the entire round.
Scores from the judges were 20-17 across the board.

Kent Open 2: 2009…
Held in the second weekend of November, a team from BlueWave atteded the second annual Kent Open hosted by our parent club Carlson Gracie BJJ Revolution Team’.

Medals were taken by Jason French (Gold) and Jay Hart (Silver) with the reamining fighters giving excellent performances is some stacked brackets. Though not gaining a medal, Ryan won 6 matches on his way through the repechage to fourth place.
