Kids Hybrid Martial Arts:

What: These classes combine aspects from a wide cross section of martial arts to get the best out of our students.  All sessions are taught and coached from the perspective of safety first and for a pro-active, positive and fun way to learn the arts.  Children learn the fundamentals of striking in a format that takes into account all aspects of the mixed martial arts including prevention of being taken to the ground or tied up and controlled in a clinch.  Children also learn the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo in a format that takes into account all aspects of the mixed martial arts including entering and countering against strikes to engage in the “gentle” arts that involve throwing, controlling and submitting as opposed to striking.  Another key component: children will also learn how to become aware and recognize threats, avoid and escape conflicts when possible and how to best deal with a myriad of situations when faced with them.
